BEFORE YOU GO DEEPER

Your questions, answered.

What is Krillion?

Krillion, also called The Daily Dive, is an open-answer trivia game: you try to find an unusual correct response. Divedle is an independent companion, with its own practice questions and editorial guides.

How do I play a practice dive?

Start a round, read the prompt, and type one answer within 25 seconds. An accepted answer ends that question. An answer missing from our practice list leaves the clock running so you can try again. Finish seven questions to see your depth.

Is this Krillion Unlimited or the official daily game?

This is Divedle’s independent, repeatable practice game. It uses an original, finite question bank and preset scores. It does not reproduce the official daily questions or official scoring. Krillion also has its own Unlimited mode at krillion.io.

How do the six rarity tiers score?

Our practice uses Plankton (4 points), Too clever (8), Schooler (16), Rare (32), Deep cut (64), and One in a krillion (100). Each point becomes 10 metres. Seven 100-point answers give a maximum of 700 points, or 7,000 metres. These are preset practice tiers, not live popularity measurements.

What does “one in a krillion” mean?

It is the name of the top answer tier. In our practice it awards 100 points. The official FAQ says its top answer is also selected for how satisfying it is to find, so the label does not necessarily identify the statistically least familiar answer.

Where are today’s Krillion answers and past games?

When the current New York game date has a verified record, the Answers link opens all seven official reveal lists. Otherwise the daily shortcut takes you to the archive. We only list dates we have checked, and never present our practice questions as official daily answers.

How can I find less obvious answers?

Start with a valid example, narrow it to a specific member of the category, then change the angle: another region, era, discipline, or use. Keep a familiar valid answer in reserve. An unusual answer only helps if it fits every part of the prompt.

For the original game’s answer curation and rarity explanation, see the official Krillion FAQ.
